Ooh Xay, what a sad story. I'm thinking that except for that one leg being caught, he would have got away. I caught a mouse recently and was so pleased to see that it was utterly dead. Your sentences are well constructed Xay and I do like 'Minutes later...' It keeps my reader interest up. I look forward to you posting more of your great writing.
